Family Photos

Guess what??? We finally got around to our family pics. The fall colors are so georgeous here. I love Grand Junction! We were going to do the "fall colors" thing again this year, but that's what we did last year wearing brown, green and red. So Darrell and I were out and about looking for a spectacular place to take them and guess what...? he took a cute picture of me. I think I finally have my Facebook photo. I don't think I've taken a cute picture in... a month of Sunday's. But guess what? Here I am at the computer, and I have forgotten my disc. Oh well. Fam photos went awesome, and we took them at home. Right off our own deck. I'll upload some soon. I hope. T

boring update

Like I have anything of interest to say. I love my job, but due to the economy,( isn't that the excuse for everything now-a-days?) I may be cut back a bit. Truthfully that doesn't hurt my heart much. I must say. Although I feel better physically than I have in about 6 years, having two callings, four kids, a sickly hubby, a job, and one car.... well, you get it. Yep, my house is a mess. This weekend I decided that I'd better clean the bathrooms. When you go in to use them and think..."HMMM, maybe I should go to the gas station down the road, there restrooms are probably cleaner," then you know intervention is necessary. more later. T

more of the same

Let's see, What to chat about???? I got the job at the Methodist preschool. That is really going to be nice. I think it will be fun to work somewhere new. I think I tend to get bored a tad too easily. I will work part time in the pre K room, and part time with the toddlers. That means no more babies. That's okay. I kinda think toddlers (ages 2-3) are more fun anyway. They can actually play. I like to play. Am I immature...??? Dang straight!
What else??? Darrell and I got to go to the Emergency Room yesterday. I swear, they should give us our own room. We have been at the hospitals, (yes there are two here) WAY too often as of late. Fortunately, it doesn't seem like he's hurt too bad. He smashed his thumb in between two plaster molds. It turned purple immediately and swelled up to the size of a golfball! He swears that it is not broken, I swear that it is. The bet is that if it is he has to get a purple cast. So when he goes to the orthepedist next week we shall see. If he gets a cast, I'LL POST A PICTURE. HEE HEE.
Because he hurt himself and the Dr said he can go back to work, but not use his right hand (yeah right) we had a family "Help Dad clean the lab" day. It was actually fun. We can really bust it out when we want to. It will take a few more days of "super Tousley power" to get it all done. But it is really cool because Jared has a talk tomorrow on how family unity is important. This is a perfect because now we have a personal example. YEAH. I love it when that happens.
I am excited to hear his talk tomorrow and to go to all my meetings at church. I haven't been able to stay for everything since my surgery 7 weeks ago. It will be nice to go back to Primary and feel of that Spirit. I really love Primary. But you knew that. Toodles to all.

I have Worth!

Okay, so I am still pretty new at this, but I'm willing to learn. It would help immensly if our computers at home were working, but alas, I have no access to the literally hundereds of pictures I have taken that would spice up this boring blog.
Today has been a good day. I had a job interview at the Methodist church preschool this morning. I called the other day after hearing about the position from our Relief Society Pres. They said they had already finished interviewing, but asked me a little about myself and my experience. That was all I needed. If there is one thing that I have experience with and the ability to do well, it's take care of children. After just a minute or two of my telling her about my qualifications, she asked me to bring in a resume Monday at 9:00. I went in and had an interview this morning. They had a list of questions for me and I could hardly believe how easy they were to answer. I loved it. I told Darrell about how confident I fely about my answers and how I felt blessed because I had the knowledge to answer them correctly. I did tell him that I thought they were quite basic and almost "no brainers." But he said that they wouldn't have been for him, or for half of the people we know. That made me feel good. They did ask me what I thought my strengths and weaknesses were. For my greatest strength, I said that I was a very nurturing and loving person, and that I love children and they like me. For weaknesses, well anyone that knows me knows that organization is far from my forte. I guess all in all, whether I get the job or not, I feel good about myself because I got to realize that I do have something to offer. After 6 weeks in bed feeling like a turnip, it feels good to remind myself that I can still be of service and have talents that make me special. Char has helped me feel that way too. I was able to help her a bit with a few pesky issues lately. I even got to butt in and offer her sister advice. She did ask for it. I wasn't just being nosey and bossy. Emily has needed me a bit lately too. I LOVE TO BE NEEDED.! I know that the Lord is trying to teach me the benifits to getting service as well as giving it. Service is definately a sign of love for others. Thank you all for your service and making me feel so special. Loves to all. T

We went to the cabin! Getting back to nature is so cool, unless you're only 2 weeks out of a hysterectomy. Yikes. Needless to say the condition of the roads leading to our 12,000 + foot oasisis are worse than Rexburg roads in winter. I was in tears everytime we had to drive it. It was nice to be able to lounge around, go fishing, and the pinnacle of the trip, raft the Green River. The trip was nice and it was fun to see Darrell's parents as well as Kerri and her family. Yikes, gotta go. T

Rambling...

The big bad world of blogging, the world at my fingertips, and nothing to say. Drat writers block.
We are here in good ol' Rexburg Id., visiting friends. we had a fabu fourth, and really enjoyed going to surprise everyone at our old 15th ward this morning. You should have seen Brayden's friends when they saw him. It was priceless. I enjoyed visiting as well and seeing all the new babies. I forgot how many new babies come annually to the 15th ward. So many cute baby boys.
I think I'll stop rambling now, oh wait, it's my blog, I can drone on if I want too.....Waah haa haaa. O.k. I think the post surgery narcotics are speaking. Bye.
